How long have you been working with 23W?
What got you started on this journey?
Wanting to lose some baby weight, work on getting fit and strong both physically and mentally so I can be the best version of myself for my kids.
What was your initial goal?
Definitely squat mobility. I struggled big time with depth even with my own body weight
What was your biggest challenge at the start?
To eat 3 balanced meals daily, lose weight so my clothes fit better and just to stick to something for 8 weeks to see if I could do it
What result did you achieve?
I really prioritised my meal prep so I always ate 3 meals a day. Smashed my weight loss where I actually need to buy new clothes to fit me and I stuck to the challenge checking in with my coach every week
How have you changed?
I definitely look at food differently, looking for balance rather than just filling the hole. I also have felt my mind set change from the all or nothing mentality. If one day doesn’t go as planned it doesn’t mean it’s game over. I feel proud of myself for doing something for me. I know if I set my mind to something I can achieve real results.
What was your biggest challenge going through the process?
I wasn’t always as organised as I would have liked. Having meals planned so I could write my shopping list and have my shopping done before the weekend so I could make the most of prepping was sometimes a little challenging for me.
What were your biggest learnings?
Heaps!!! Meal prepping plus portioning it into individual containers was a game changer for me. It was so easy for me to just reach into the fridge and pull something out I didn’t have to rely on peanut butter toast as my main food choice.
How would you describe your journey?
Interesting and rewarding. I really found the scan and calorie deficit part really interesting. Even though I know personally counting calories all the time won’t be sustainable for me. I did like getting a better understanding of what is needed to lose weight and what cheeky substitutes you can make to still make a delish meal but with fewer calories.
What was it like working with the 23W and the other girls in the community?
Never felt more supported. These coaches really go above an beyond with answering any questions I’ve had about anything and I find them all very approachable.
What’s next for you?
I want to continue with maintaining the weight I’ve lost. Possible want to lose a little more body fat but keen to get stronger and build some muscle. Looking forward to my technique in the gym improving also. Keen for the next challenge.
A big thanks to all the coaches. I really think they gave all the tools to really set you up to succeed. The layout of the info was great with videos as well as written material which I thought was great to help absorb the info.
