How long have you been working with 23W?
4 months so far.
What got you started on this journey?
Moving to the neighbourhood and trying to get back into sustainable health and fitness post-lockdown.
What was your initial goal?
Lose 3-4kg, enter my thirties with a bang, track my food intake!
What was your biggest challenge at the start?
Nutrition, particularly just conscious eating and avoiding the clean eating vs bingeing yo-yo.
What result did you achieve?
All 3 goals that I set out! And I managed to set some sustainable habits and mindsets.
How have you changed?
I don’t beat myself up over having a splurge with friends, and I have a sense of how to balance my food to give my body what it needs to feel full and strong.
What was your biggest challenge going through the process?
Not seeing changes and assuming all the work was for nothing.
What were your biggest learnings?
Ask for help, if you doubt the process get a scan and go step by step.
How would you describe your journey?
A bit of a surprise! I’m thrilled with what I could do with the right support and tools.
What was it like working with the 23W and the other girls in the community?
Awesome, I could ask for help whenever, and great tips came from Dee and from the other challengers.
What’s next for you?
Keep on with tracking food, with a bit more guesstimating than during the challenge, and switching up the classes to keep it interesting too!
Is there anything that you really want to say?
I loved this challenge. It was supportive and healthy because it focused on the long run, community support, and accountability – not some toxic and immediate but temporary result.
