Do you love chocolate? I like my chocolate healthy.

Do you love chocolate? Prepare to be shocked… Many popular easter eggs are 50-60% sugar, contain very little actual cocoa and contain other nasties such as palm oils. One large bunny could contain up to 30 teaspoons of sugar. And just because you are opting for dark chocolate does not mean that it is low in sugar.

Here is my go to raw organic chocolate recipe. This recipe is significantly higher in anti-oxidents due to the higher percentage of cocoa and full of all the goodness of coconut oil.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup cocoa butter
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup raw cocoa powder
Maple syrup to taste

Method:
Melt oil and butter over a double boiler, add cocoa and enough sugar to sweeten. Finally, add any additional ingriendients. Pour mixture into moulds and set in the fridge or freezer. Once set, store in the fridge, share and enjoy.
