Three Months On From ‘Pitch It’
Back in May earlier this year, 23W and our Mums on the Move Program went up against 4 other local business for the chance to win $20,000.
We were honoured to be shortlisted out of 40 applications across the council of Darebin and we had the unique chance to share our plans for growth with the wider community. The Pitch It program involved a 4 week intensive accelerator which allowed us to access the best business minds in innovation and entrepreneurship in Melbourne.
While the money would have made a huge impact on the possible reach and scaling of our community, we could not be more proud of were we are 10 weeks on, regardless of not walking away with the money.
Our mission and ultimate goal was to be of service to more women and mums in the Darebin council, with the funds being used to grow and accelerate our current program, offer a one of a kind in studio service to mums and develop a program that could be implemented in conjunction with the new parent program by the Council.
- Shared Care Nanny
Have you met Jenny? She is a rock! Jenny is our shared care nanny who attends all MOM designated training times Monday to Friday and is on hand to give our adorable babies occupied as their mums get on with training. She has been a real game changer, with our mums reporting that they are more likely to train knowing that Jenny will be on hand to give out lots of cuddles and comfort (to the babies and mums)!
2. Expansion of 23W
We have been sitting on this news for the last few weeks, but we are excited announce that we now have the keys to 17B Showers street. In case you are not familiar our current location, 17B is the warehouse that sit along side 23W. We have huge plans in the works, which will allow us to install a showering facility, set up a purpose designed yoga, pilates and boxing studio as well as a massage room. The availability of this second studio space presents an amazing opportunity to offer more training variety to our members and extend our reach into the community.
3. A Growing Team
We are proud to now have 8 amazing women that make up our 23W team. We now have experts in Muay Thai, Pilates, Yoga, Strength and Conditioning and childcare, which allows us to build out an amazing program for our 23W community.
We made a promise after Pitch It to forge ahead with our plans to be the most renowned women’s strength and wellness community in Melbourne. Heading into our first birthday in October we are beyond excited about our mission to empower more women to thrive.
